Genuine artefacts of colonial Australia, and a key element of our philatelic history, 
Queensland’s high denomination Chalon Heads stamps are as scarce as they are 
beautiful. Distinguished by a magnificent portrait of Queen Victoria, taken from a 
work by Alfred Edward Chalon, these ornate, superbly designed, high denomination 
stamps were seldom set aside at issue, and are very scarce in Mint Unhinged.
